  Fighting from the front isn’t the only way to win a war and that's what every nation's classified army is all about! That part of the army that everyone's heard of but doesn't really know about.  With every passing day, the rules and strategies of the battleground evolve and to keep up with this growing pace, the armed forces are equipped with not just updated artillery but constantly updated 'information' as well. As aptly quoted by Lt-Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane,( Vice-Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of the Army Staff designate) “ I dare say that none of our military operations would have been successful had it not been for the support we got from various intelligence agencies including the Research & Analysis Wing and the DIA ” and truly every success that we as a nation accomplish on the borders is a culmination of synchronous efforts laid down by the armed forces along with the intelligence agencies. Duty before Diwali- an account from a Jawan’s heart.

Another one bites the dust !  In the recent light of events that played out yesterday on the LOC, we saw yet another act of the Indian Army's vigilance and valor! All this while we began our celebrations for Diwali while it was just another day for them.  Does this ever make you think about how a soldier at the border would then perceive Diwali amidst such a collusive environment? well here's our take on that. Have a look at this account we tried recreating by abstracting a soldier's emotion on duty  during Diwali - “ Sun gazing at us a little brighter from the fence today, not surprising though, it’s the day of lights and Diya’s  after all.
