Yahaan - Not your typical Bollywood Love story

Yahaan - Not your typical Bollywood Love story

The 'Piku' fame director Shoojit Sircar's debut movie, a love story wonderfully portrayed amidst an ongoing war and in actual fact shot in Kashmir, Yahaan is no typical Bollywood love story!

Perfectly filmed, Yahaan is an outstanding mix of cast’s acting skills, Shoojit Sircar’s great directorial skills to deal with a sensitive topic as that of the plight of Kashmir's population amidst the constant rift between the army and the terrorists so gracefully along with the realistic effects shot by the cinematographer, Jakob Ihre in capturing the picturesque Kashmir is simply fantastic.

Maintaining the realistic view of Kashmir, Yahaan blends the fictional love story with the sorrowful situation in the Heaven-like beauty, Kashmir. An aesthetically depicted love story with songs written by “Gulzar Sahab” and music by “Shantanu Moitra” will just stick in your mind forever! “Naam Adaa Likhna” touches the heart with its calming aura and great lyrics.

Innocence of Minissha’s character Adaa while Jimmy’s character who is strong and can tell between the wrong and the right, is muddled between his desire and duty as Adaa’s brother, Shakeel is an alleged/suspected terrorist.

Yahaan is about war-torn Kashmir but it’s also about true love. It’s pretty, it’s painful and in the end, it does bring tears to one’s eyes but Yahaan is a must watch!
